Infrastructure & Network
We run all our own servers & networking hardware from a data centre in Bournemouth. With multiple 10Gbps+ links back into the London Docklands, our redundant network provides super fast speeds to users throughout the UK and the rest of the world.
The data centre
Our servers are located within the C4L Bournemouth data centre which is within the same physical building as our offices, giving us immediate access to our equipment 24/7. The data centre itself features a number of attributes designed to keep all equipment online at all times.
- Diesel generators and UPS system for entire data floor.
- Multiple air conditioning units to guarantee control of temperature and humidity.
- Very early smoke detection apparatus installed and tested regularly.
- FM200 fire suppression system.
- CCTV security system covering all entrances & exits from the building with 24-hour video recording.
- Biometric security access for all persons entering the data floor.
- Multiple fibre connections into the building.
Hardware
We use the best hardware available for the job in hand for our entire network & infrastructure.
- We utilise best-of-breed Dell™ servers configured with RAID and multiple power supplies.
- Our core networking equipment is provided by Juniper Networks and considered some of the best in the industry.
- All hardware in our infrastructure is connected to at least 2 network switches which are configured with STP to minimise impact of switch or network card failure.
